Promotional pencils seem to be everywhere... behind a builder's ear or on an architect's desk or in a child's pencils case. There are many reasons why printed pencils are more versatile than pens and other promotional gifts. At certain times in your day you'll want to find something to jot a note down and often you'll pick up a pen only to find that it's run out or getting scratchy. The evolution of pens has resulted in a variety of writing instruments that have lots of uses but sdaly many of them neglect their whole reason for being... to write! Consequently you end up with great pens that can do lots of fancy things but can't fulfill their main purpose well enough - i.e. they can't write well.
It's down to these reasons that many people prefer to pick up a pencil because they are assured that it will work. Ok, so printed pencils do require sharpening sometimes but there's always the mechanical alternative instead which also contains a large variety of styles too. Considering the level of pencils that are around it's understandable why pencils are among the best seling promotional products around - when printed with your logo and message there become not just a tool for writing or drawing with but a powerful tool for advertising with as well. Printed pencils really are a versatile.

Printed rulers for rulers?
If Caesar was around today he'd embrace every form of advertising possible to promote the merits of the Roman Empire. The vast array of various products on offer today could well have been to much of a temptation to simply disregard them. He'd want to use the products which could be seen everywhere and were common place with practical usages as well. Keeping in mind the Roman love of all things straight like their roads for instance, I'd have thought that promotional rulers woud be among the leading candidates with their long straight edges and equal measurement increments.
Alternatively, some other rather well aligned products that may have taken the fancy of this notable ruler could be printed desk pads and promotional folders and perhaps balmoral pens. Either way the concept of promotional yourself to the maximum with printed products is a great way to ensure awareness of your message.

What is a printed pencil without one of these . . . ?
When sketching something using a pencil or jotting dwn some notes of interest, it's so easy to make a simple mistake but at least if you're using printed pencils you're can erase your mistakes - assuming that is that you have an eraser (or rubber) in the first place.
It might be suprising to know that erasers can also be printed with a logo and message too. Printed erasers can be an equally helpful promotional tool as well due to their many beneficial traits. These include durability, range of colours and shapes and large flat areas to advertising your brand on.
Some of the great value low cost erasers on offer include rainbow erasers, standard white erasers, fluro erasers and a variety of standard shape erasers in different colours. There are, of course, pencils that have erasers on the end too which include everything from neon pencils to techicoloured pencils.
